Shimada, Japan – April 8, 2025
A self-proclaimed actor named Ryoko Hirosue was arrested in the early hours of April 8th for allegedly assaulting a nurse at the Shimada City General Medical Center in Shizuoka Prefecture.
According to police reports, the 44-year-old suspect attacked a 37-year-old nurse while awaiting treatment, kicking and scratching her. The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. local time.
Earlier that evening, Hirosue had been involved in a traffic accident on the Shin-Tomei Expressway in Kakegawa City, where she rear-ended a large trailer and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities revealed that she had no identification—neither a driver’s license nor health insurance card—on her at the time of arrest, and efforts to verify her identity are ongoing.
The suspect is being referred to as “Ryoko Hirosue,” but it is not confirmed whether she is the well-known actress of the same name. Police have withheld information on whether the suspect admits to the charges.
